An 11-day private safari across Kenya and Tanzania, with a Nairobi stay at each end and quality lodges in between: flamingos and rhinos at Lake Nakuru, the Big Five in the Maasai Mara, the wildlife of the central Serengeti, the Ngorongoro Crater and elephants beneath Mount Kilimanjaro in Amboseli. You travel in a private pop-up roof 4x4 and stay at Serena safari lodges in the parks.

On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport you are welcomed by our representative, your host in Kenya, and given a brief introduction to Nairobi. You are then transferred to your hotel to settle in and relax; the evening is at leisure.
After breakfast, drive through the Great Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru National Park, arriving at your lodge for check-in, lunch and time to relax before an afternoon game drive. Explore the lake shores, famous for flamingos, rhinos and birdlife, and look out for lions, leopards, buffalo and Rothschild's giraffes. Visit viewpoints including Baboon Cliff, Lion Hill and Out of Africa Lookout, and return to the lodge at sunset for sundowners and dinner.
After an early breakfast, depart for the Maasai Mara, passing through Narok, a town rich in Maasai culture, and arriving at Mara Serena Safari Lodge in time for lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy your first game drive across the savannahs of the Mara.
Begin with an early morning game drive when wildlife sightings are at their best. An optional hot-air balloon safari (at extra cost) at sunrise is followed by a champagne bush breakfast. After lunch at the lodge, set out again in search of the Big Five (lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard and rhino) as well as cheetahs, giraffes, hippos, crocodiles and abundant birdlife. Depending on the season, you may also witness the Great Migration.
After breakfast, check out and depart with picnic lunch boxes for the Isebania border, where vehicles are exchanged and immigration formalities completed. Continue into Serengeti National Park with a game drive en route, arriving at Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge to check in. You spend two nights here on a full-board basis. The day ends with a Serengeti sunset and dinner, followed by conversation around the campfire.
Spend the day exploring the Serengeti, beginning with an early morning game drive when elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras and wildebeest are active. A full-day game drive takes you through open plains, rocky kopjes and riverine forests, with a picnic lunch in the bush and chances to spot the Big Five and seasonal migration movements. End the day with a traditional Serengeti sundowner.
After breakfast, depart the Serengeti for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, travelling through changing landscapes from savannah to the escarpments of the Great Rift Valley. Arrive at the rim of the crater, one of the world's largest intact volcanic calderas, and enjoy a picnic lunch with views of the crater floor before continuing to your lodge on the rim.
After breakfast, drive to Arusha for lunch, then continue to the Namanga border to complete immigration and customs before crossing into Kenya. Transfer to a Kenyan safari vehicle and proceed to Amboseli National Park with views of Mount Kilimanjaro, arriving at Ol Tukai Lodge in the late afternoon.
Start with an early morning game drive in Amboseli, watching large elephant herds roam the plains and spotting Maasai giraffes, buffalo, zebras and hippos. The park's swamps, fed by underground streams from Mount Kilimanjaro, attract a wealth of wildlife, and over 420 bird species have been recorded. Later, visit Observation Hill for panoramic views of the park and Kilimanjaro.
After breakfast, drive back to Nairobi through rural towns, local markets and open plains. In Nairobi enjoy lunch at Carnivore Restaurant, then visit the Giraffe Centre to hand-feed Rothschild giraffes and learn about their conservation. Transfer to your Nairobi hotel for your last night in Kenya.
After lunch, you are transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in good time for your evening flight home.
